A Night of luxury at The Collection, UB City
The latest in international luxury was unveiled at a recent fashion show in the city.
The Collection at UB City hosted ‘A night of luxury’, a glittering event that showcased everything of luxury. True to the theme of the evening, guests witnessed a Fall Winter 2009 fashion-show where lines from Lanvin, Stella McCartney, Moschino, Jean Paul Gaultier, Zegna, Canali, Paul Smith, Minawala and Kimaya were showcased.
There was a piano recital by Ksenia Ayzel, a concert pianist and music advisor to Yamaha instruments whose melodies were interspersed with the show.
Jean Paul Gaultier's (JPG) designs never fail to shock and gain adoration. JPG presented from the catwalks of the fashion capital of the world- the mid night blue ensemble which was a fantastic example of the design genius.
Sharp Tailoring is her signature style, Stella McCartney's silver and black outfit,a part of the new autumn winter collection, was the perfect ensemble for an evening out with someone special.
Ruffles and layers adorned the catwalk for Moschino's fall winter collection. A silhouette which flatters every body type, the pretty pink satin silk dress from Moschino broke a million hearts.
Lanvin loves Bangalore. Parisian chic came to town with the hottest colour this season- black black black. One couldn’t help but notice the sharp structurally brilliant cut of the outfit. Hail Alber Elbaz!!!
Zegna presented a blue trench coat in pure cashmere, teamed with an Exclusive Trofeo Wool Milano Suit with a blue chevron lining, a part of its Autumn Winter collection. Also showcased was a Charcoal grey striped “Fairway Jacket”, in cashmere and silk with brown suede leather elbow patch and trim under the collar. Clubbed with Red sleeveless vest in a silk-cashmere blend.
The Bridal Collection of Minawala showcased jewellery crafted in 18 kt. white gold with baguets, fiery canary diamonds, brilliant cut diamonds in round, pear and oval cut.
Outfits from Kimaya, Canali & Paul Smith were also showcased by the city’s ace models – Archana, Jackie Shetty, Pashmina, Smita Rao, Roshni, Zoheb, Syed and Imtiaz.
Guests included Puneet Rajkumar who came along with wife Anitha, Irfan Razack, Munish Hinduja, Vijay Rekhi with wife Zarine, Wasim Khan, Avril Quadros, Saloni, MC George among others.
